About the PHASE3 SX:
The machined stainless steel housing features our oversized no-slip ring which ensures that the hot housing cannot ever physically fall through the coil. As stated repeatedly throughout our research & development process of the original purpose built ruby ball heater since developing the idea in late 2019, the friction fit coil is simply superior in heat transfer to a threaded system, which is why we have stayed with that mechanism.
The SX uses the same time tested surface area calculations and the same 14MM glass chamber system as the Z8, for a truly efficient heavy hitting platform that provides ultra flavorful, fast, dense extractions while using a minimal amount of material. Unlike larger 18MM injector platforms which tend to have a reputation of flying through botanical material, our 14MM system provides a far more economical platform; while offering a noticeably smoother, remarkably less harsh experience.
Phase3 is committed to supporting local businesses and domestic manufacturing when possible, thus the SX is precision machined right here in Southern California. Thank you kindly for your interest in our premium products, we sincerely appreciate your support and look forward to bringing you more innovative devices and accessories.
Ryan Slawson
Owner, PHASE3
After a decade of working with other companies to improve their products, it was high time to start developing my own. Tired of compromising designs, in 2019 I created the original ruby ball heater - and I've been improving it ever since. I have been an obsessive member of the community since 2013 and hope to finally share more concepts I've developed along the way.
